Laura Trest M.Ed., BCBA, LBA

Executive Director

Laura brings a wealth of experience in working with children, adolescents, and teenagers diagnosed with a wide range of disabilities, accumulating over 16 years in the field since 2007. Her extensive expertise spans the delivery of specialized interventions in various settings, including homes, schools, and communities.

Laura's academic qualifications are truly impressive, as she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master's of Special Education degree, and a graduate-level certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, all attained from George Mason University. In February of 2015, she achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication.

As a professional, Laura has developed a particular interest in Verbal Behavior, language acquisition, and social skills training. Her unwavering commitment to advancing these domains showcases her deep-rooted passion for driving meaningful outcomes and fostering the comprehensive development of the individuals under her care. Laura's dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset in the field, as she consistently strives to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those she serves.

Marisol Perryman BCBA 

Clinical Director

Marisol, an accomplished professional, originally hails from southern California, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University of Channel Island in 2016. Committed to furthering her expertise, Marisol completed her Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a focus on Autism at Ball State University in 2020. Her dedication and hard work paid off, as she achieved her Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst in December 2020.

Marisol possesses an impressive track record of over 13 years working with individuals of varying ages, ranging from children to teenagers and adults, who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs. Her journey into the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began in 2007 when she served as a direct staff member, sparking her fascination with this transformative discipline. Throughout her career, Marisol has gained extensive experience providing support in both community settings and in-home environments.

Within the realm of ABA, Marisol's primary areas of interest lie in strengthening independent living skills and communication abilities. She is dedicated to empowering individuals with ASD to develop the skills necessary for greater autonomy and enhanced quality of life. Additionally, Marisol is passionate about offering valuable support to parents and peers, recognizing the critical role they play in the overall well-being and growth of individuals with special needs.

Brandi Grimes B.A., QASP-S, Program Manager

TBP St. Marys, Georgia

Brandi is a dedicated professional who is married with three children and has held a lifelong passion for working with children. As a spouse to an active-duty Naval sailor of 17 years and a mother to a son with autism, she has firsthand experience of the challenges faced by families and children. This personal journey has fueled her drive to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Brandi's interest in the field of psychology was sparked early on, leading her to earn her Associates in Childhood Family Services. She has dedicated many years to volunteering with children and has worked as a counselor in a Methodist boys group home. However, it was when her own son was diagnosed with autism that Brandi became particularly interested in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Witnessing the profound impact that ABA services had on her son's life inspired her to further her education in the field. In January 2020, Brandi received her Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University. Currently, she is actively pursuing her Master's degree in ABA from the same institution, with plans to complete her studies in the near future.

 

Brandi is committed to collaboration with families, teachers, specialists, and other professionals to establish goals and work collectively towards their achievement. Her ultimate objective is to establish and enhance socially important behaviors, encompassing areas such as academics, social skills, communication, and daily living skills. Brandi's dedication to her profession, coupled with her personal experiences and ongoing education, positions her as a compassionate and knowledgeable advocate for the individuals and families she serves.

Amber Hudson-Alabre MSc, QASP-S

Amber is a skilled QASP-S at The Behavior Place. With a passion for helping others, Amber brings a compassionate approach to her work, consistently demonstrating empathy and understanding. Her commitment to individualized care and evidence-based interventions has earned her recognition as a valued member of the clinic's team. Through her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts, Amber continues to provide exceptional ABA therapy services that empower individuals to thrive. 

Sarah Rose M. Ed., BCBA, LBA

Sarah is an accomplished educator who embarked on a fulfilling journey in the field of education. She kickstarted her academic pursuits at George Mason University, earning her bachelor's degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. Fuelled by a desire to further hone her expertise, she continued her education, obtaining a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mary Washington. Sarah's teaching career took flight as she became an elementary school teacher, dedicated to shaping young minds. Her path eventually led her to a newfound passion for working with students on the autism spectrum, prompting her to pursue in-depth knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis. To realize this aspiration, she enrolled in courses at the Florida Institute of Technology and earned the title of Board Certified assistant Behavior Analysis (BCaBA) in 2018. Driven by her unwavering commitment, she continued her journey and achieved the prestigious designation of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2020. Sarah relishes her role as a BCBA, cherishing the incredible growth and transformation she witnesses daily while working with the remarkable children under her care.

 

Sarah's dedication to education and her unwavering passion for helping children with autism thrive have made her a beacon of inspiration in her field. Her journey from a general education teacher to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst speaks to her commitment to ongoing learning and her determination to make a positive impact in the lives of her students. Currently, Kelsey is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Arizona Global Campus, further enhancing her knowledge and expertise in the field. Additionally, she is actively working towards obtaining her Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and excellence in her role.

I am Krysten, and I am delighted to be a part of The Behavior Place, working with clients who receive behavioral services. With my origins rooted in the Carolinas, I have a deep appreciation for exploration and consider myself a lifelong learner. As I dedicate myself to making a positive impact on the lives of young children, I am concurrently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, set to graduate in 2024. In addition to my professional endeavors, I am a mom, wife, and an avid dog lover!

 

My unwavering passion to assist others in any way possible has been a driving force throughout my life. Serving as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has proven to be one of the most fulfilling positions I have ever held. Witnessing my clients achieve their goals and providing unwavering support along their journey brings me immeasurable joy. My primary objective is to facilitate meaningful and enduring changes that enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.

Megan Parrish B.S., RBT

Megan is a dedicated professional who joined The Behavior Place in May 2022. Hailing from Randleman, North Carolina, Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science and Psychology from Guilford College. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at USAHS, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Through her unwavering efforts, Megan strives to create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of individuals with autism, offering them the support and guidance necessary for their overall well-being and personal growth.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors, cherishing moments with her family and friends, and engaging in activities with her beloved dogs. These personal interests contribute to her well-rounded approach to life and reinforce her ability to foster meaningful connections with the individuals she serves.

Angela Roberson RBT

Angela Roberson is a true local, having spent her entire life in Camden County, where she currently resides in Saint Marys alongside her husband, Chad. Their family is a joyful blend of love and togetherness, with six children between them, including three cherished bonus daughters. The joy doesn't stop there, as they have the added delight of four grandchildren who hold a special place in their hearts, evoking laughter and smiles. In their free moments, Angela and Chad find their happiness in the company of their children and grandchildren, whether by the pool, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs at football games, or immersing themselves in the music world as avid concert enthusiasts.

Angela's professional journey has been characterized by a deep and abiding connection to children, a passion that began in 2013. Over the years, she dedicated seven years to serving the local school system, where her primary focus was on special needs students, spanning ages 4 to 12. Armed with crisis prevention training, CPR certification, mindset training, and mandated reporter certification, Angela joined The Behavior Place (TBP) family in October 2022. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), her true calling comes to life, as she witnesses the remarkable progress and growth of her clients. Angela's heart lies in forming individual connections, getting to know each child intimately, providing unwavering support, and witnessing their daily growth. She finds the utmost joy in knowing that her work is making a positive difference in the lives of the children and families she serves, and she is elated to continue doing what she loves, making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Tina Schonover RBT

My name is Tina, and I take great pride in being a mother to three wonderful grown daughters and an incredible son who is thriving on the autism spectrum. Additionally, I am a proud grandmother to seven rockstar grandchildren. My journey has led me to pursue my education at the University of West Florida, where I am currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I anticipate graduating in late 2024 and plan to sit for the BCaBA certification.

 

My educational aspirations extend to a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ultimate goal of becoming a BCBA at The Behavior Place. It is my deep desire to provide unwavering love and support to these exceptional children, and to shape the world around them to meet their unique needs. I am dedicated to seeing the world through their eyes and creating a better environment for them to thrive in.

For nearly two years, I have been fortunate to be employed at The Behavior Place, and I couldn't imagine a more fulfilling workplace. The level of care and dedication invested in creating a safe and enriching learning environment for the children is truly beyond measure. Every day, I actively seek out tools and strategies that will help these incredible individuals flourish in the world and achieve their aspirations. It is a privilege to be part of a team that is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of these amazing children.

Sara Sullivan joined the Behavior Place team in March 2022, bringing her expertise and passion to the field of applied behavior analysis. With a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa, Sara's commitment to professional growth led her to pursue a master's degree through Arizona State University. This dedication to ongoing education reflects her desire to continuously expand her knowledge and skills in order to better serve her clients.

For Sara, the most rewarding aspect of her job is witnessing the progress made by her clients. Seeing the positive impact of applied behavior analysis on their lives brings her immense joy and fulfillment. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending quality time with her dogs, exploring new destinations with her fiancé, and challenging herself physically through endurance race training. Her active and balanced lifestyle further enriches her ability to approach her work with empathy and dedication.

Born and raised in the picturesque landscapes of Northern Michigan, I've had the privilege of calling this beautiful region my home. My family is deeply rooted in the Coast Guard, where we've embraced a life filled with adventure, resilience, and a profound commitment to service. At home, I cherish the company of my two incredible children, an 8-year-old daughter who brightens my days and a soon-to-be 2-year-old son, adding joy and laughter to our lives.

Our family dynamic extends to include two charming Dalmatians, who are not just pets but beloved members of our household. My passion for cooking has been a source of inspiration and creativity for me, as I've spent countless hours in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors and creating memorable dishes for my loved ones.

Leah Prince RBT

As a dedicated mother of two wonderful boys, family is at the heart of my life. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, which I earned from Fayetteville State University, and my academic background has been invaluable in understanding and supporting the development of my children. When I'm not busy with family life, I am a passionate reader, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of books. Creativity is another facet of my life that I cherish, and I often find joy in crafting during my spare moments, channeling my artistic energies into various projects.

My family extends beyond human members as we share our home with a diverse group of animals. Ace, our sheepdog/husky mix, is a loyal and loving member of our family. Molly, our cat, brings a touch of feline grace to our household. And we're not limited to just traditional pets, as we have six chickens that add a charming and rustic touch to our home. My husband and I have been happily married for 12 years, and our journey has taken us to different corners of the country due to his military service. Originally from North Carolina, we've called California, Virginia, and now Georgia our home, embracing the adventures and challenges that come with a military lifestyle.

Brandi has been an invaluable member of our team since 2020, serving as our Lead Administrator with a primary focus on remote work. Based out of our Georgia location, she oversees operations in Georgia, Washington, and our newly established Virginia location. With two grown children, one of whom is a Registered Behavior Technician, Brandi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. As our Lead Administrator, Brandi is responsible for managing critical aspects of our operations, including insurance compliance and authorizations, billing, and payroll

Throughout her career, Brandi has dedicated over 15 years to working with children in various settings, including church, special education, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Her comprehensive understanding of the unique needs of children and families informs her approach to administrative management.

In 2017, Brandi graduated Cum Laude from the College of Coastal Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Her commitment to professional growth led her to become a certified Registered Behavior Technician in 2018. Later that same year, she obtained her Qualified Autism Services Practitioner (QASP) certification. Prior to her current administrative role, Brandi worked as an ABA therapist for a year, gaining valuable hands-on experience in implementing behavioral interventions.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Brandi finds joy in spending quality time with her family, including her two beloved fur babies, Noah and Miracle. Her commitment to excellence and her compassionate nature make her an integral part of our team, driving our continued success in providing exceptional services to our clients and their families.

Shelbie Farmer 

Administrative Assistant

Shelbie has been a valuable member of The Behavior Place since August of 2021, initially serving as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and subsequently transitioning to a role within our administrative team.

 

Hailing from Southeast Georgia, Shelbie possesses a deep connection to the local community, having spent the majority of her life there. It is in this region that she is currently raising her three sons. Notably, Shelbie's eldest child is an individual with autism, which has significantly influenced her personal and professional aspirations. Even prior to her child's diagnosis, Shelbie was motivated to pursue a career that would enable her to assist families facing similar circumstances.

In addition to her professional commitments, Shelbie cherishes quality time spent with her loved ones. She finds solace in reading and indulges in the occasional guilty pleasure of enjoying an abundance of chips and queso when dining out. Above all, Shelbie remains dedicated to working diligently to ensure that our clients and their families have access to the necessary services they require.

As the spouse of a Naval sailor and a mother to a young boy, Chaney understands the unique challenges and dynamics that families face. Her passion for working with children has always been a driving force in her career, and she eagerly looks forward to furthering her knowledge and expertise to support children with special needs.
